Default Dovetails not square and wavy slats

This is a cupboard I made for our visitor's cottage.

It is all radiata including the handle.

I made the dovetails so the top of the cupboard was at the same angle as roof hence not 90 degrees.

The spacing between the shelves is the same ratio.

The slats were cut in a wavy shape to reflect the scenery outside the cottage which is lots of Peppermint Gum trees.

The cupboard is attached to the wall using a dovetail rail (screwed to the wall) which slips into the sides of the cupboard. A small piece of wood is screwed on the back rail to stop the cupboard being bumped sideways leading to a disaster.

    I finished it with Organoil.

Very nice, WB. Any chance of a detail pic of the dovetails on the top.

The second one is out of focus a bit and I don't particularly want to take it off the wall again so here it is warts and all.

The top fits on vertically which means the tails are cut obliquely if that makes sense

Also included is a photo showing more detail of the wall mounting.

That's very nice WB, think you were channeling Ruffly when you designed it

A very nice bit of work there WB. I especially like the random wavy slats and the very lazy curved handle.

I wonder what all the organ aficionados think of you using their oil on your cupboard?
    .
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

The reason I made the cupboard is to cover up the graffiti discovered after you stayed in the cottage.

As you know my preference is making joints by hand although I use the electron burners a bit more these days.
