    for once I got my measurements right.. placement for the pick-up

    started working on the pick-up cut out other than a hole for the bridge earth wire the body will soon be finished.

    and before any player of electric A'sticks points out the volume cut out is on the wrong side...no it isn't it's for a lefthander

    all going well I will start on the finger board.. I have decided why not try and make it fretless.. so the plan is cut a strip of jarrah and mark where the fret wire should be with markers.. I did think about using 100% Oz timber.. but didn't have anything dense enough that would contrast with the jarrah so I will use some rock maple.. Col

    now taking shape .. the pick-up cut out is finished..aat the moment the finger board is way over size.. another job for my trusty GMC router

    Loving the WIP Urban.

    While I'm not a muso, my bro in law is. I love seeing things built out of wood that will be used, rather than just looked at.

    PS - If I had a dollar for every time my bro in law asked me if I could build him a "Solid shell snair drum", well, I'd have a few dollars anyway.

    Looking forward to seeing (and hearing) the finished product !!.
