Default Just finished - Tas Oak ipod dock

    Hi there,

Just finished this project for my friend.
It's being built from an old speaker dock.
Just got it's face off and made it's new one out of Tas Oak.
    It's measure is 134mm tall x 134 deep x 400 wide.
    Oil finish.

    Pic 1 - Before
    Pic 2 - After

Any comments and feedback would be much appreciated! Cheers

very nice work indeed. I like that it's a very clean design, it goes nicely with the iPod/iPhones clean lines.
I personally would of used silver instead of the gold for the corner features but that's just a personal preference and in no way taking away from your work.

    p. s. Did you mitre the joints? it's hard to tell in the photo.

    Thanks, mate
The corner brass parts, I've actually bought them at Bunnings,
found out that the screw heads are so weak it just broke
almost in...couldn't screw them out or in!! So I had to grind them
If there were some silver ones I would of tried them also.
The joints are all just mitre joints. Some pics of inside.
    Cheers!

Great work, do you get better sound reproduction with the timber being more dense than the original plastic?
