French-looking dresser
I was briefly interested in French provincial furniture. That led me to make this dresser - just finished today.
My wife and I are both tired of 'brown boxes' (ie conventional woodworking) so I decided to try something painted. It was meant to have a colour scheme with 4 different colours, which sounds over the top but was (we think) subtly attractive. However I found painting furniture without a spray booth more difficult then it sounds, wimped out and just painted it white.
The good thing about making furniture designed to be painted is that you can use any old timber. This one is about 10 different species - offcuts and timber from the council clean up.
cheers

Very nice. I like it.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."
