    Default end grain jarrah board

    Just a simple cutting board but the grain was pretty stunning so thought i'd put a photo up!

    Looks great!

    I'm always a bit suss about end-grain board in general - they're not the strongest - but that is certainly a very pretty piece of work.
    I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

    They are plenty strong enough when you ensure they are at least 50mm thick, any thinner and you will have problems. The thickness does increase with size, ie large boards need to be thicker but 50 mm will do most average sized boards
    .
