Hall Table
Hi everyone,
This is a hall table made with Red Gum and Huon Pine. The legs were tapered on 17" Carbatec Bandsaw and were trimmed and dressed with a Festool TS75 plunge saw and a Carbatec 13" planer/thicknesser. All joints are dominoed. Sanding and finishing were done with a Festool RO150FEQ, starting at 80grit, adding Scandinavian oil to saturation at 400g then finishing to 4000g. Finish was cut with EEE cream and then waxed with UBeaut Traditional wax and finally buffed with lambswool. (The top hasn't been attached with buttons yet.)
Regards,
Rob

Great work Rob I like the taper and weight of the legs. Are you going to mount the top cetral or offset like in the picture (not sure I like it offset).

Thanks Burnsy,
Not sure I like it offset either, but Also Sprach SWMBO. It suits the position it's in at the present. At least when it finds somewhere else in the house to live I can reseat the buttons.
Regards,
Rob

Nice work Rob! I see you tapered just the inside edges of the legs. Looks good.
Yesterday I must have had my glasses on backwards.Last edited by Honorary Bloke; 28th August 2007 at 09:31 PM. Reason: Clarification
