I hate Oregon
I am not a big fan of Oregon. It is only good for building houses but nothing else.
I had some leftovers from a recent renovation and needing some wide boards for a large drawer so I thought I would give it a go. The result is pretty good and I actually quite like it.
I still hate it though.Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com

I wish I hated all my jobs like you do, if you know what I mean

G'Day "Wongo",
For something you don't like, it surely came up pretty darn good.

Wongo, you make it very easy to not "like" you.

Love the look of the cabinet you're making. Is it an armoire or something else?
What is the main timber? More pics please.

Wongo, I am going to be quite harsh and simply say that I really like this piece.

To be really picky, and I looked hard at it, the door panels are 'slightly' lower then the side panels. Other than that, this has very clean lines and a great choice of timber.

Heirloom mark
Scott,
I hope you are marking your little bits and pieces with something permanent.
They may become collector's items in 100 year.
Great Work...... cedar type?

pencil cedar
I've only seen it finished as a kitchen bench.
It comes up nice as a furniture timber, not as 'heavy' as red cedar in colouring, easier on the eye perhaps but perhaps a bit heavier to move around.
What's happening, are you sick of blackwood already? I thought you would be using that forever, it's 3 years drying now!

I am keeping the blackwood for other dearer projects. This is a discounted piece.

The 2 panels in the middle are camphor. That will keep the moths away.
