HiFi stand, CD rack, Filing cabinet- all in one
My wife is not into CD racks, Hi Fi's and least of all filing cabinets, so, I had to come up with an idea. I needed easy access to Hi Fi wiring and no visible wiring even to the speakers.
So here it is the 'CD, HIfi and filing cabinet on wheels'

This is great mate.
The amazing thing about woodworking is your not constrained to the limitations the stores put on you.
You showed this in spades with such an innivative design.______________________________________________

That's a good point, it's great to be able to create things to make efficient use of space... I guess, there's nothing better than custom made!

Want to tell us more aboutthe construction techniques you employed?
Beyond the unique and very fetching design, all impressive. Far too good for your workshop/office/study. It should be more prominently displayed.
And, if that is the workshop:
1. Talk about clean and tidy.
2. I am also envious of your stained floor in your workshop.
3.Plus, the nice touch of the photo.
Why not start a new thread, the tidiest/neatest workshop?CJ

Junk boy999
It' QLD Walnut veneered paricleboard and edging. In a previous thread you'll see the matching coffee table.
Sea Dragon
The joints on the veneered particleboard are mitred and biscuit joined and the outer veneered surface is a shell that can be removed ( slid off) individually from the internal construction.
As you guessed, the photo is of me and the mrs in Rome.

Sorry Coedcae and Andraax, you obviously fell for it, the Grundig booklet is from the TV (check out the TV stand in previous thread). The Hi Fi is some obscure brand.
Cheers,
Zelk
