On the post new/reply page scroll down a little and hit the manage attachments button this will allow you to upload pictures from your computer to the AWW server.

You click on "Manage Attachments". Then you click on "Browse" and highlight the name of your file. Click on "Upload", and there you have it.

Ahh thats right. I remember now
Silly me trying to click 'insert image' when I want to insert an image.
Typical computer crap that we all have to struggle with daily.
So here's my next whinging question to try to make some logic of it all.
If I want to add a link to a website in my message I simply click the 'Insert link' button then type the http://blahblah in the window that loads......Alternativly if I want to add a link to a photo on another website I simply click "Insert Image" then type the http://blahblahoftheimage.jpg
So why have two at all? A link is a link. Why call one an image when its really just another link to a website which will show an image at the end result anyway. Also as you can see, if you want to add a link you simply just type http://whatever and it treats it as a link because of the http bit so you really dont need these two buttons at all. Why not have a button that simply says 'add photo in text' or would that be too easy to understand?
Anyway now I'm just confusing myself, I really think the forum designers have wierd logic tho. Sorry to sound like a real whinger but I swear these things could make more sense or perhaps its just me and I just have bad logic interpretation skills.

The link button is used when you want to make a word 'link' to a web page ie. clicking on ubeaut makes you go to the ubeaut page.
The image button is for when you want to insert an image from a web page instead of uploading a picture ie.
comes from the image link

(nb. I would like to thank ubeaut enterprises for the use of their web page for this exercise)
p.s. do a search, this has been explained several times before.Have a nice day - Cheers

Its number 2 for me now and I bet when I come to do it again in 3 months time I hit the same problem. I still rekon a button could be added to the menu above, a simple button that says 'insert pic into text' or something. To the average person the words 'Manage Attachments' does not mean inserting a photo into the current text. Anyway i'm over it, for at least 3 months
Maybe I should just buy a bigger screen so I don't have to scroll down so far.
