Ironwood Pot
Just finnished up this ironwood potpurrie. I was initially excited as I thought that the largish blank (for ironwood) didn't have many/any cracks but once dusted off there were a quite a few and some were very deep and a bit of termite damage. The hollowing really tested my hollowing tool. The wood really finnished well. The oiled surface came up like glass. The top rim is Jarrah.
Size is 150mm diameter and 110mm high.

Will you stop it!!!
You make it too embarrassing for the rest of us to post our turnings.
Seriously, fantastic work (as usual). Keep em coming.

Absolutly great work LF. I am really impressed. I also don't look as good in front of Missus Toolman now as she was looking over my shoulder and my little efforts are sadly lacking.

Little Festo ..... great work .... it has been really pleasing to see your quality of turnings improve over the last few years .... I just wish I was on the same learning curve

I have to come clean!! The top/insert was bought, I didn't make it. I bought several from Steven Hughes earlier this year when he demonstrated at the Mt Tambourine turnfest. It's laser-cut from plywood (from his design).
