Default Jarrah Bunks that convert to 2 x single beds

Jarrah Bunks that convert to 2 x single beds, that I made for my daughters.

Due to limited time the project took 4 months start-finish.
Finish is 4 coats Tung Oil & thinners.

In this first picture, one is assembled as a single bed.

The rest are in bunk configuration.

These were designed in Google Sketchup first, and they conform to all Australian Standards (not that I plan to sell them, just so I know they meet all safety criteria).
If anyone likes them enough to want to make them, and is proficient with Google sketchup, PM me, and I can email you the sketchup files.

Hey Andy, yes, both Felder saw and thicknesser got a good workout on this project. It was a lot of fun, and a welcome break from looking after little ones. They did occupy a lot of my time, hence it took so long to get the bunks made, but 'the boss' is really really pleased with the finished product, and my eldest (who is 2 1/2) keeps wanting to climb the 'wadder' which we've removed until she's older. She is sleeping in the bottom one for now, and keeps telling me 'we got the new beds from daddys shed'.

Hopefully the kids will grow up to appreciate the beauty of timber as much as me.

Ray, yep, hopefully it'll outlast the girls childhood. I made them pretty solid, and the Jarrah is just such beautiful timber (the photos don't really do them justice).

I couldn't be happier with the fuinished product.

    Thanks for the comments guys.
