Default jarrah football and jarrah woolbale

Haven't been on for a long time but still pottering around the woodwork shop. Here are a couple of different things I made.
A Jarrah woolbale for a presentation and a Jarrah football, again for a presentation.
The lathe didn't like the 5" square block so I had to hold it in one hand and use the electric plane to roughly shape it up. That's ok, still got all the fingers.
The football is 4 pieces of jarrah seperated by mdf sheeting.
The woolbale is 6 pieces of jarrah all mitred at 45 deg. The top flap is jarrah veneer glued at back edge and sanded off. Staples were as close as I could get to bale hooks.

Nice work on the football and bale.

Next I might suggest that you place the timber in some sort of wedge and secure this to the wedge then use an electric plane.
