Jonathan Chance / Zyladrum
Hi guys, does anyone have any contact details for this artist.
I wish to purchase one or more of his zyladrums and can't get a hold of him, and i can only find stock of his peices at 'tourist' shops at terribly inflated prices.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
I did a whitepages search for him and found his home number in Lismore but feel this might be a little invasive.
I've found no e-mail or websites

Hi Justern, I have had one of Jonathan's drums for many years. Very well made and tuned so I understand why you would like them.
A couple of years ago I heard that he had had enough of making tongue drums. I think he was making them for about 17 years.
You are lucky to find any available anywhere. The last ones that I saw were at Woodworks at Cessnock and in Kangaroo Valley.
I suspect that he would still be around Lismore and may even check in on the forum from time to time. Someone posted comments on some of my drums who sounded very knowledgeable of Jonathan's zyladrums.
It doesn't sound like he is making anymore drums so there wouldn't be much point ringing his private number.
Maybe check with a shop with his drums. They should know if he is still making any.Scally

Well done.
Sounds like the right price.
I am sure you will enjoy it for years.
Now you should make one!
They are a good project and always sound good. Tuning is tricky but even untuned ones sound good and are fun to play.Scally

Hi, I'm Jonathan Chance
HI Fellas,
I found this site by googling zyladrums and saw that some people may be looking for me, so would just like to say that I'm still here and making Zyladrums. I'm now in Lismore instead of The Edge, and have a new web site, tuned percussion, which is why I was googling zyladrums. Google doesn't seem to know about it yet, but I'm told that may change.
If anyone knows any other sites where people may be looking for me I'd be grateful if you'd tell me. Also if you'd put a link to my site on here somewhere.
Cheers
Jonathan

Zyladrums by Chance
Hi Jonathan
Great to hear that you are still about and making your great zyladrums.
Mine is still sounding great and admired by everyone who hears it.
You will find quite a few interested posts on this top forum.
Another is the DrumShed
"http://forum.drumshed.org/index.php"
A much smaller site being dedicated to drum making......mostly snares and other kit drums.
But a few tinker with other drums and yours has been mentioned several times.
Both forums would love to get you input if you can spare the time.
I'll go and check your site now.
All the best.Scally
