    Default Kid's bedside table

    Attachment 198954

    Attachment 198955

I built this bedside table for my three year old daughter who has been begging me for a light and place to store her books.

It's a bunnings timer job, tassie oak and pine. I wanted it to look fresh and vibrant and am quite pleased with the result.

All the joints are hand cut but most of the detail was done with the router.

It is finished with linseed oil and beeswax from our own bees.

Now to clean the shed, there are a lot of 'test' pieces to dispose of!

    Good job.

I reckon people need to build more furniture for their children.

Very nice indeed. I find that kid's furniture is a great way of practicing techniques without the pressure to attain perfection that you get with full-sized furniture. To date I've done a little table and chairs (with full M&T construction) and a toybox (https://www.woodworkforums.com/f40/ri...vetail-148475/).
