Well done Hugh! What timbers have you used?
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

Nice touch with the soft cloth hanging area underneath for the workpiece to be stored in.

Time for some answers.
Hi all
First off thanks for your comments.
Timbers?
Miranti for the top and inner trays
Jarrah for the sides and small inner boxes
Hoop Pine for legs and trim skirt
MDF for bottoms
Did I design it?
I was inspired by various ones seen on the Antique road show and on Treasure hunt.
I haven't even seen a picture let alone a plan, it was designed as I went along, and nobody would be able to read my scribbles and calculations. Having said that the Cabriole legs can be found in Time Life's Custom wood working series and when I nearly had my plans finalised Australian Woodsmith came out with no.68 with an article. What a rip off! it was the same article translated from US English to AU English so were all the projects in that edition. (I have since forgiven them and become a subscriber.)
The cloth work in progress bag is traditional and comes in handy to discourage a certain individual from having another go at knitting his own jacket.
The lady was just told she was getting one and it was going to be a Christmas an Birthday (Early Jan.) present in one, but I did take into consideration the internal designe of the sowing box I had previously made to her design.
