    Default Lamp from recycled cedar

This is the table light I made for the AWR 'Recycled' exhibition. It disassembles so that it can be packed flat for postage. The four sides are held together by iron rods (cut off nails) and rare earth magnets.

It looks great Alex. Good luck with it. I was going to enter the exhibition too, but didn't have time to do it.

Didn't get up I'm afraid. There were many better pieces.

Very artistic piece Alex! Brilliant idea in being able to pack it flat, too. Better luck next time - sometimes the things that win in comp's leave everyone wondering how they did...and so many other brilliant pieces overlooked.

    Cheers,

Great execution Alex. The design looks light.

    hi Alex,

I saw the piece in AWR - it did look very nice. The paper making would have been fun.

I reckon the only reason you didn't win was you didn't use that dodgy backdrop you used in the box comp that make you look like your head is coming out of the top

Very good effort. I like the simple style of the piece with oyster inlays.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Looks good to me, and definitely worth a shot.
