BTW Major: how did you do that rendering? Is it CGI?
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

Major
I have to say I am a bit disapointed that you dont trust your highly developed design sense enough to refrain from asking us lot what we think till after completion. From my perspective you are one of the finest designers of contemporary furniture in the country and I see exhibited works all the time.
I like the piece and if I was making it I might do some things differntly but that is me not you. Do your own thing post it here for us to look at and "trust in the force Luke".
BTW What software do you use to draw and render your pieces? How much does it cost?

I think it all boils down to the fact I don't like the design in the first place.
I think I was trying to make it more to my liking & couldn't see the fact that I shoulda just re-milled the timber for another project.
SWMBO also thinks it dosen't suite our house now......

Major,
Never forget that we're our own worst critics. I have to agree with Different - your designs are great and you should go with them. If you push the boundaries, some people will love it, some will hate it. If you don't like it yourself, look at it as a stage in the evolution of your next design.

Yeah Major
I really like it. If you don't like it put it up for sale. It will sell quickly. I think it is a beautiful piece. We can have ideas and then they don't quite come out how we imagined. Sometimes more pleasing sometimes less. It is still a really good piece. Perhaps the only lesson is that you are as undecided about it now as you were when you were planning it. So I guess it is best to just trust your instincts from the outset.
