low line LCD/PLASMA Table
Just completed this Lowline the other day. I have made the table out of a few different solid timbers and Veneers.
The Panels and bottom are all made out of African Ash Veneer 25mm and Black Bean (Solid Timber) with a 10mm Shadow Line. The Adjustable Shelf has a Jarrah Finish for something completly different
The Top is 36mm, made from Silver Ash Venner with a solid Black Bean Edge. I decided to have a go and do angled doors on the cabinets. I have used solid Silver Ash for the edging around the doors. I decided to go with butt joints rather than Mitred Joints. Inside the two doors I have 4 Inner Drawers with Blummotion.
Please post Comments on what you think. I guess it will not be every ones cup of tea, due to the fact it is very Retro and different. The photo does not really do this any justice. I guess my eyes are not the best when it comes to photography.Cheers for that

Nice work and detailing!
Love the angled doors and the front view. Not so sure about the pale top and sides - just not my taste I guess. It looks like quite a different beastie from the top/side compared to front-on.
What is the inside of the shelving lined with? Is it the same as inside the doors?
Did you think about putting a back on the shelving to hide the wires? Maybe run some cable clips or velcro loops along the back of the shelves and unit so you can't see the cables either at the back of the shelves or underneath the cabinet.

Lowline Table
Thanks Munruben and SM the back of the cabinet is covered by 25mm African Ash, however with all the cords I have made a 50mm hole top and bottom of the Adjustable Shelf's to go through. I guess I was a little slack in hiding them with cable ties. The Adjustable shelf is also 25mm African Ash with a 10mm edge of Jarrah. The inner drawer fronts are made also from the 25mm AF Ash and edge done with 10mm Black Bean Solid Timber. The drawers themself are from a Company called Blum and the bottoms and back are 16mm white board Hope this helps
cheers MickCheers for that

Just curious as to why you quote Plasma/LCD when it is sporting a CRT???
Apart from that, yep, I have to build one and plan on a false back to hide all the cables associated with Plasma.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Low Line
Iian
many thanks I guess Donald Trump started at the bottom, Really I made this for my (wife to be) Birthday/Wedding Present. Hoping that she will buy me a nice LCD 42" to sit on our new table. The reason for the old TV (Which is my mother in laws- Yes it is a loner) is because our old TV died and went to heaven. So I prey to the good wife to be to please buy me a 42" LCD.
cheers MickCheers for that
