    Default Digger bed for toddler

Hello all, I'm new here but I'd like to share some pictures of a bed I made for my son, It was a bit of effort but well worth it!
It is an Ikea bed with the side made from 25mm MDF and the bucket is made from 9/12mm MDF. Wheels were done with a makeshift router jig.
The bucket gives us a handy storage bin too which is a bonus..

Brilliant Welcome to the forum. I'd love to make the same thing for my 18 month old grandson who loves 'diggers' but he's already inherited the 'ute' bed I made for his older brother about 9 years ago. Maybe the 8 month old will take a liking to 'diggers' too

That is awesome, good job. We are starting to make plans for our soon to be 2yr old. If we plan now, it might be ready by the time he is 3
    Cheers,
    Shannon.

Great job .... I am sure your son's eyes would have lit up when he found that in his room.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "stubble".
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for the most, very willing to assist.
You've got the right idea, showing off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
The "TOY BUCKET" seems a little small, BUT what a great bed.
You've done a top job on the paintwork, well done indeed!!!!
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.
    Cheers, crowie

PS - Have a look in the "toy making section" for a few ideas for the young bloke!!
