Marri Dining Table and Marri Coffee table
Hi All,
Have just completed a couple of projects in some Marri we have had sitting aside here for quite some time.
We had this lot radiocarbon dated at 245 years old, it`s got some pretty unusual figure and has come up way better than we expected.
The first is a contemporary coffee table featuring a 20mm acrylic centre section, we are about to mount a 12v led lighting kit in the top of this one with a matching marri concealed battery holder. Will rout a groove in the underside of the top to accommodate the LED strip.
The second piece is a pretty straight forward 4 legged 1.5m square dining table. We used a mitre box construction for the legs so it all unbolts for transport. We have cut 3mm Marri veneers for the outer curved sections of the legs.
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Nice work, Gooma, amazing what you can do with a couple of lumps of wood and a bit of perspex.
The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
