    Default Messy planes

Ruffly's wood talks to her, my planes talk to me. They constantly whine.
"I'm hungry, I want something to eat." And the don't get along very well either. The scrub eats everything in its path and leaves a big trail of wood chunks where ever it goes. This of course is very offensive to my #4 smoother. Shes a bit of a prissy thing. If things aren't set just right she won't eat. There's big competition between my Record and Knight jointer planes, too. The Record is just a bit longer than the knight and is constantly rubbing it in. So today I've been giving them alot to eat, hoping that if their full, they won't argue as much. Here's a picture of todays work.

Mate! I hate to rain on your parade, but yesterday I filled two buckets with fine curly shavings

The pic you've shown barely has any shavings in it at all

Feed them 9 Fingers, feed them. As Auld Bassoon indicated they can't be overfed, feed them mate.

I think your planes should talk to Wendy’s wood.

I wonder what we'd get if we did match my talking wood with your talking planes ........

Those shavings look mighty fine, 9Fingers. I'm sure there's more out of sight....

Well, I can't match your two buckets full Auld Bassoon, but I think I can come close - my backyard looks like it's been snowing here, yep, snowing silver ash shavings Don't know about you, but I sure had a lot of fun making them.

    cheers
