    Default Overhauling my workspace

Thought I'd post up a few pictures of my workspace after making some new cabinets and a spring(errr... summer)clean

I made some new cabinets from recycled wood and surplus chipboard(old stock 6' square sheets)added some wall space racks for hand and measuring tools. Still to add some shelfs and a holding rack of boxes for fasteners.
The drawers under the bench cabinets are on swivel castor's so they can be rolled around the shop with a few kicks.
Knocked up a quick and dirty out feed surface for the Tsaw, got sick of them dangerous roller stands! It has an extra surface that folds up with a gate leg to support it, later I will make a nice cabinet to fit under it to hold all the Tsaw jigs and blades.
While I was there I shifted the rip fence bars over nearly 300mm so now I can rip upto 950mm wide, I had to add a leg to the right hand side of the rear rail to stop the saw from tipping if leaning on it, the only disadvantage is the rip fence cant go on the left side of the blade anymore.
Now the dusty and aircomp has been ousted in there own enclosure/humpy... much better more room less dust and less noise!
Also added a swamp aircon so now I can work on days upto 37~38 deg without sweating me guts out.
Added a picture of the latest WIP, the new kitchen...

Still got a few jobs in the planning,
1 .sorting out the area next to the Tsaw for the drill press and chisel morticer and drum sander,
    2 . a new uber router table
3 . rolling woodrack that incorporates a SCMS stand
4 . Clamp rack combining a sheet goods rack
5 .finish lining the whole shed in 15mm ply (Ive already done 2 bays).
    6. Add a few more power points in the new area.

Pity I didnt take some before pictures.
    From the front looking back

    From the back looking forwards

    The new cabinets

    The tool and bits'n'pieces cabinet

    The start of some darksidedness

    Some roll around draws

    Table saw outfeed extension

The big sucker and aircomp outside

Some of my wood(theres a lot more outside the shed...)

Jeez, Harry, that's a major clean up. Watch out though: some of the forumites object to an over-clean shed. Or is that a 'studio'? --and: airconditioning?!

Your toolset is looking mighty awesome, too.

    BTW, what's this machine?

SPIRIT it generally is that clean, I tend to clean up on the last day of my rosters off before going back to work(4 on 4 off)

Hmmm. I'm thinking of getting something similar. How do you find that one? Happy with it?

    G'day Harry.

    Nice layout M8

I do feel sorry for your compressor being shut up in the bag house tho' (Don't forget to drain the condensate!)

What are you using underneath your roll around draws?

Zen, honestly not the happiest with it, there's 2 problems I've had with it are the table for the disc at the pivot points, the holes that the bolts/pivots go through are too big causing play I'm tempted to weld the up and redrill them or drill them oversize and install some bushes. The other prob is the whole belt assembly has movement at its point where its supported off the motor so every revolution the join in the belt causes it to bounce a little, it doesnt affect its performance tho.

Tankstand, your right I always forget to drain the tank... but in the 8 yrs or so I've had it hasn't made any difference.
Under the draws are these things

Ding, I just about hit my head on them clamps, the roof in the extension is only 2.2m at the highest.
The Incra mitre(1000se) only has a short slot runner so theres no need to cut mitre tracks into the extension table.
The outfeed table hangs off a piece of 75x50x5mm angle 1700mm long its installed inbetween the rear ripfence bar and the Tsaw's top with the 50mm side, the outfeed hangs off the 75mm side.

    looks good Harry,

It looks like I am on the right track with mine, but seeing your shed, I have a long way to go. I thought I had a few good ideas, but thanks to you post, now I have a few more.

    Great looking shed mate

By the way - according to them that know - it won't make much difference (if you have in line filters) until the day that the rust penetrates through!

From "The Code", para 5 The Shed, sub-sub para 5.4.1:

Any person entering a bloke’s shed and referring to it and its contents as a “space” shall be ejected summarily from the shed and forthwith banned from ever entering it again. It’s not a bloody space – it’s a shed!
The problem here is that you've referred to your own Shed as a "space". As far as the code's concerned, you're not allowed back in.
