I can see easily using the ends of broken pods and rounding them off with a band saw.
In pairs as salad servers. Go to the UBC Museum of Anthropology (MOA) online collection and sort it for 'spoons'. The Pacific Northwest native carvers have serving spoon profiles which match the pod shapes surprisingly well.
A flat-ish one as a cake/fruit pie server.
Maybe smallish pieces for serving/cutting cheeses? Other bits for rice spoons and pasta servers.
