    All good knife blocks have the slots horizontal.
    If put in vertical slots with edge down they get blunt. Apart from that its a very sexy set.

    Hey Sturdee, very nice boards, bit different but I really like them. Thanks for posting

    Charlie, I think your Matching knife block & board is magnificent. That one is really thinking outside of the square. The way the slots run would be fine for me as when I pull out one of my knives, I also grab the steal & give it a quick wipe.
