Posting pictures of your work
G'day troops.
I know some of the forum members have a bit of difficulty working out how to post pics of their work. I just email my pics to myself and the email program (Thunderbird or MS Outlook resizes them for me. I then Save the Emailed pics to my Woodwork file then post them here.
Now, this is not a spruik but I've used CoffeeCup web design software for quite a few years now. It is a very good product which is available in a free trial form but is also cheap to buy (with lifetime free upgrades). The company also produces a lot of other web design add-ons. One of them is CoffeCup Pix Converter which allows the user to easily convert and resize digital pictures to post on websites etc.
Because I'm a registered user of CoffeeCup Software I've been invited to send the Pix Converter software (plus 2 other programs which may or may not be useful) to 5 people. I'm sending it to 4 of my extended family and the other one to anyone here interested. First come first served. That person can send it on to 5 others thereby getting it to as many people here who want it.
This a bona fide, no strings attached offer. The CoffeeCup company don't send spam or spyware and the products are excellent and cheap. I get nothing out of it except the satisfacion of making it easier for my forum mates to post pics of their work.
PM me with your email address if you're interested so I can add you to my list.
Cheers
PS: I hope I'm not contravening any forum rules with this offer. If you never made a mistake, you never made anything!

For whoever misses out on your offer, an alternative option is to download Irfanview, a freeware gfx viewer.
Any pic can easily be modified to suit the forum by selecting [Image]/[Resize/Resample] from the menus, choosing around 800x600 pixels and then SaveAs (may as well keep the original pic. ) a .JPG, selecting about 50% compression in the resulting popup.
It also supports cropping, rotation, text-insertion and a few other rudimentary editing methods.
Easy as! And free, free, free.

If you have Microsoft Office 2003 there is photo manager. (Start - All Programs - Microsoft Office 2003 - Microsoft Office Tools - Microsoft Office Photo Manager) May be in other versions of Microsoft.
It allows you to resize and/or compress photos for web thumbnail etc. under the tab Pictures
