Really nice job...have a greenie
May I borrow the design with a couple of modifications to suit my kitchen and if I recall correctly, WRC is a rather umm...odiferious wood , so does the natural scent of the timber affect the veges in any way.
I was thinking of using Macrocarpa for ours but am worried that it might taint the veges.Dust Mite...Terrorising noses for the discerning...

Sure Dust Mite! The design was made up between Tom and I looking at the woodpile and my request to incorporate the stove bits in. I like how our woodwork kind of evolves and that way we are never be disappointed that we didn't stick to the plan!
Yep, good point. I will see how the cedar goes with the veges. Also seeing how long the potatoes last in comparison to the last one we made out of pine. The bottom section is where we keep the taters, so definately no light in there (which is what causes the green parts on taters that is a neurotoxin). We were thinking of making a bread box out of the WRC too, but am worried that the smell of the cedar will make all of our toast take like cedar... what are your thoughts?
Cheers
Dan
