    Default my first project

This is my first woodworking project.

My mum told us to build a stool for my sister so she could do the dishes. Here are some pictures of me and my younger brother building the stool.

Well done, son of boban. girls should always do the dishes. they are genetically predisposed to have shorter feet than boys so they can stand closer to the sink.

Oh and i nearly forgot to mention, well done on a nice looking project

Hmmm! well done. Good to see that you are thinking of your sister.

I sympathise with the fact that you have to work with amatures, tell Dad to use the flash!

That's a good project Son of Boban. Congratulations on actually finishing a project.
A hint, though: do not let your mother or your sister think you enjoy working in the shed. They must be allowed to believe that it is something you do as a special favour, just for them. The same applies to any member of the female species that you may meet. Welcome to the fraternity of male woodworkers.

Youre not wrong. We actually had a blackout and it was rather dark in that shed. The boys ripped into that stool with some vigour. So much harder with hand tools though. It took us about two hours to finish it. I reckon I could of done it in 10 mins tops with real tools.

Best of all they loved it. Cheaper than taking them bowling tonight - $100  The timber was all offcuts.

Nice solid looking stool, and it works too. What about making a couple more, and you can use them for foot rests/TV tables? A bit bigger, and you've got a bench to sit on.
