    Default Reception desk

Here is a maple reception desk that I did last month. For a rush job, it turned out REALLY nice. I had it done and ready to go to finish in 3 days. Of course one of those days was 20 hours long, but that still counts.

Now that's a nice reception desk! Well done.

What's this about a 20 hour day? Are all the days "down under" 20 hours long?

    Nice work Bat.
Is that a big timber beam to the right of the desk? Possibly an old warehouse converted to offices or something?

Yep. That is exactly what it is. It is the old Salt Lake Hardware building that was renovated a few years ago into office space.

I used timberflex and glued it to a plywood frame. The top and bottom of the wall were machined on a CNC, but I could have probably done all of the radius work with a router in a day if I had had the time to spend on it.

Yes, the brackets were custom made for the sandblasted glass insert.

Nice job, Bat. Was it your design?

What is Timberflex? I assume it's what we call flexply.

Nope, the design came from the customer.
