Recycled Firewood
Hi,
How lucky can you be. I was at a friends house and she mentioned to me that I might be interested in a piece of wood she was about to cut up for fire wood. It turned out to be a Karri beam 4400mm x 210mm x 120mm. Of course I took it home. My neighbour recycles timber flooring, so he cut up for me roughly and I made the entertainment unit. It is styled on the one in FWW sept/oct 2008. But I built it with a karri frame. Finished in poly, rubbed back with steel wool and waxed. The two centre drawers are made shorter, so I can hide all the cables.

Sweet Jerry! The design suits the timber very well.
I think that is the first Karri piece I have seen on here.
