    Default Recycled Hardwood Table Top

    Hi all,

So I was commissioned to make a table top of recycled Hardwood, 1.5m x 0.840m.
The timber was very rough! Two huge Gum pockets and many strips of gum up and down the boards. In addition it had a number of nail holes, cut outs and scars.

And this is the result. The gum pockets have been filled with crystal clear Casting resin, while the smaller irregularities have been filled with black Araldite.

The finish is Organoil Hard Burnishing Oil sanded dry to 400g, then sanded wet to 4000g

    Regards,

    Rob

Another beautifully finished table Rob. I am going to keep working on that wet sanding technique.
