Here are some pictures I took in my studio of the make up area. You can see the flooring and how it makes a nice match having the furniture made out of the same stuff.
The Mirror is hand routed edges double roman ogee and the table uses laminated boards for the legs. The boards were ripped down to be about 70x70mm. The rails are held into the legs with a simple tongue and groove joint and the top is just glued straight on. Finish is Polyurethane. I might sand it back and have another go at it later, it is a little lumpy.
The tongue and groove in the flooring made joining boards to make the top easy though there was some bend in some of them, I wasn't always successful pulling them into each other as can be seen in the picture of the top. Still I am pretty happy with it.

Thanks Alex
The timber is Cyprus Pine. The design is simple as I was trying to do something within my abilities and also it is a bench for a make up artist to work from. Just had to be a reasonable height and a decent size.

Stevo,
It looks good but I am a bit concerned about how the top is attached to the frame and how the frame is attached to the legs.
Perhaps I have misread your post but it seems you have used a tongue and groove join between the frame and the legs. My experience with tongue and grooves are joints where the grain on the two pieces are parallel, not at 90 degrees such as between the frame and the legs.
Attaching a top to frame must be a method to allow for the movement of the top otherwise the top will split or the frame be stressed and perhaps break.
Apart from that, keep up the nice work.- Wood Borer

The rails are at their full size and I have routed a groove or slot into the legs to take the full rail.I suppose I was a bit cheeky glueing the top down I didn't know any other way. More recently I have read about using "buttons" that allow some movement. It is all learning. Hopefully I get away with it and don't have the warping or splitting problems you mentioned. It is all made out of the same timber so lets hope.

Hi Stevo,
The table and mirror look fantastic. The Cypress always comes up well. I think it will complement your studio very nicely. Just one thing, are you sure the table and mirror are large enough??? It is a makeup area and you know how some of us like to spread out the pots and potions, or is that just me ???

ROTHFLOLPMP!!!!!!!
Just like we are with our sheds, so too is this true for makeup tables.
However, even I would be very happy with 1.8 metres.
Sorry, can't help with the Goddess Drape. Maybe you could sculpt one....... as a stand-in
