red mallee, silky oak, zebrano bowls
g'day all,
just a few bowls i made in the past couple days. The Red Mallee bowl i carved out using a diamond studded grinder attachment and sanded the buggery out of it. Tough work cos the stuff is hard as stone. Finished in a few coats of wipe-on poly.
The Zebrano bowl i did the other day. Really just an experiment because i had never used this timber before. So it's a very simple design. Finished in EEE and Shellawax cream. Bloody great timber to work with
The Silky Oak bowl i did today and i must say it's my favourite. Lovely stuff to work with. Finished in EEE and Shellawax. It's 310mm in diameter.
Well enough jabbering, have a look.
Cheers,
Johnny
