    Default Rhino on Mallee

A pattern of a Rhino I cut at the scrollsaw weekend in Wodonga recently. It was cut on a small slab of red mallee burl and given a few coats of organoil danish oil, I havent decided what Im going to put over that yet.

Quite liked how the mallee worked, now I just have to remember where I got it and see about getting some more thin slices of burl.

I have had it over a year and it hasnt shown any signs of cracking so I dont think I need to do anything for that.

    Wink Mallee rhino

Obviously this horny beer-gutted beast sculls plenty of VB!
Very impressive - good to see you scroll wizzies using hardwoods instead of the easy stuff!

Yeah I prefer to use the solid woods over the plywoods if I can

Another nice one Brett. If SWMBO sees much more of your work I'll run out of reasons for not buying her a scroll saw.

Well if you want to send her down to one of our meetings in Kariong to see if she actually likes it before you purchase a saw, let me know
