Rose Sheoak Bias Turning
Hello again Earthlings.
I recently stumbled across this website by a Woodturner named Tom Crabb:
http://www.carolinamountainwoodturne...bb/crabb1.html
Needless to say,I found his turnings interesting.
So I figgerd I'd try it,the first one I blew up.
The second came out ok.
Rose Sheoak,bias turned from a 4"x4" cube.
Whadda Ya think?

Thanks Barry,I got the wood (timber) here in the Boston area,so I'm not sure where it comes from.
Folks around here seem to like it as I've sold several turned boxes.
Thanks again!

It certainly looks like the sheoak that we get locally and that which I've turned in the past.

Maple Bias Turning
Another Bias Turning.
This was turned from Maple 3"x3"x5".
It's abit different than the Sheoak and a bit more hazardous.

OHhhhhhhh now I see ........ I didn't want to sound stupid and ask about the shape, but its obviouse from that angle thats a childs potty.
Bit flash for mine, and plastic is probably easier to clean (and doesn't absorb odours), but to each their own.
I hope the kids like their maple dunny !!!!
(BTW I like it a lotGreat minds discuss ideas,

I actually think that would make a fairly interesting lamp, sort of like those oyster lamps. Hmm, that could be classy.
Go to it Chiz...

I think a 4" dunny would probly fall in!
If ya look at it upside down,it would make a nice
medieval helmut.
Thanks Gents!

Another Bias Turning
It's him again...
I started this Mahogony Bias turning and blew it up while sanding,I managed to glue it back together cuz I figured out how to make a "foot",so,I just wanted to try to finish it.The glue joint didn't look too bad after I wiped on some varnish.
