Default Rosewood stand - just to get you looking!

Wasn't sure where to post this. Not a lot of woodwork in it but I wanted to show it off anyway. My youngest dropped off the crankcase one day telling me he wanted some sort of 'rustic' stand to display his concoction on once he got the parts together. Spotted these gnarly bits of Inland Rosewood when I was showing Hughie around the gemfields but couldn't think of a use for them at the time. Another trip out to get them, a bit of mucking about making up some mounting brackets, trimming the Rosewood and polishing the ends and dropped it off to him a couple of months back. He just posted this photo on Facebook (what else would that generation do with it!!!) I'm pretty stoked with the result and so is he. He reckons he'll eventually find enough parts to build a complete unit but it makes for a pretty cool ornament in the meantime

The xylem magneto needs the spark restorer turned maybe 60 degrees to the left of top dead center.
