    Default Scrollsawn mini "love seat"

    Gday all

Made this for the missus for her birthday tomorrow.

Sawn on my Delta 40-540 using a #5 FDSR blade, timber is messmate hand planed to (varying ) thickness of about 9mm.

Used bamboo skewers to "dowel" together, couldn't figure out how to hold it for gluing otherwise.

Spraypainted with very pale green interior house paint (she has a thing for green )

    Cheers.................Sean

    Real cute. Will she fit?

Nice work Sean, a prototype for the full size one next week?

I better go now I am just getting sillier.

Would look great in a minature set or dolls house. A friend of mine, his wife makes minatures and even the dolls including using a kiln for the porcelin hands and heads of the dolls.
    Cheers

    G'day Sean,

Lovely - and as Alex said, I can't imagine where you find the patience. Great job

FWIW, I think I'd have preferred the natural timber look, maybe just with some Tung/Danish oil - but I wouldn't want to wish a back-to-bare-timber sanding job on the piece, even to someone I had a serious dislike for

BTW, my understanding was that a traditional 'love seat' had the two occupants at 180deg to each other; presumably to facilitate some, er, serious smooching  .

I'm sure that your partner will appreciate this - maybe you could find space on it for a clip-board list of "much needed" shop tools

Thanks all for the kind comments, pressie went over well today

Brett - nah, mate, just more crap to clutter up the place

Teejay, funny, someone on the bride's rubberstamping forum suggested the full size one too

Steve, yeah I prefer the timber look too, but per the old saying I guess - "beauty is in the eye of the benchholder"

I'm a few jobs behind on the "barter for tools" program

    Cheers....................Sean
