Default Setting Guage for method Derek Sharpening

On another thread derek showed how he sharpens on a belt sander using a rest on his sander and a fixture that is set in a jig so the blade is square and the right distance from the fixture.

This is my version of aforementioned.

Nicely done. One add-on I would recommend is a scale so that you have repeatable settings.

Sorry Harry none of those. My digital camera went for a service today. It decided that it didn't know how to meter anymore absolute shocker. I will get it back in a few weeks after I finish holidays. In the mean time I have dusted off my old film cameras. Will have to do things the old fashioned way for a bit.
