Took your advice Zoot. Bought 8 litres of Sealwall Clear Acrylic Masonry Sealer today.
Roof tomorrow and will seal the floor straight away and start movin g gear in on Sunday if the Sealer has dried enough.
    Thanks for the tip.

36 degrees here today. And bloody no wind or clouds.

    Thumbs up Under cover

    G'day all
Lots of progress today despite losing 'til 11.30am to rain.
    1. Got the roof on
    2. The safety mesh for the skylight sheets
    3. The skylight sheets
    4. The ridge cap
    5. The Barge cap
    6. The roll -a-doors hung (but not working yet); and,
    7. The front guttering on
Still haven't put the bloody window in though. It's turned out to be the hardest part of the job. Will go to the shed joint tomorrow and study how its done.
Will sweep tomorrow and hopefully get the Sealwall finish on the floor.
Now the roof is on and all the doors mounted it seems like a real shed.
Monday, with any luck will start moving all my stuff in.
    Cheers

    Default Where's the Sisalation

    Ma-ate,
You may live on the eastern shore of the Derwent where it never gets cold .......but.......what about those odd winter mornings when you get a frost. I can't see any sisalation on the roof, you will get condensation forming on those winter mornings and water will drip down on your gear from the metal battens without sisalation, also it will help keep you shed cooler on days like friday.

How do I know this? My shed builder told me it was't necessary....he lied.

Please tell me that it is there:confused: but not obvious in your photographs.

Unlike yourownself I sorta got impatient... once the walls were up the roof and the doors were on I started movin the gear in... and now Ive been in for about 2-3 weeks and still havent got the edging around the doors and the barge peices are on but not down properly and the roller doors need setting properly but they do roll up an down and lock which is a bloody great thing eh?? I mean LOCKING DOORS?? whaaaaaaaaaahooooooooo!!!... oh and my window sits in the corner of the shed tucked behind the table saw under about a foot of sawdust!!!

We will get around to the other small stuff one day over the coming months for now its enough to be in my shed!

oooh well done Shedhand ol mate!! Congrats!! Just like havin a baby eh??

G'day Kev, Where you been lately?
You're right! No Sisalation (yet). I'm putting a mezzanine ceiling in so I can store stuff above the workshop. When I do that I'm going to fix sisalation to the purlins (easier to reach the high spot).
    Cheers
PS: Will try and get to a guild meeting soon. When I've settled into the new digs.

Saturday morning it was nine degree here - I lit the fire in the house and then went down and lit the one in the workshop (for the cat, Isabella Rossellini, you understand, not for me). OK, it warmed up later, but the morning was downright freezing. Autumn arrives early, obviously.

No wonder you're cold sheep man. In Leithfield you're about 350 klm closer to the Antarctic than I am.

    Yo Shedhand,

    What happened to this?

Did you seal the floor? Fit out the shed?

I just read the whole thread and I need closure
I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.
