    Default silky oak bowl.

    hey guys.

    pictured is a bowl made with silky oak.
    the cracks are filled with crushed chalk and CA.

    this is the first bowl i made with my new chuck, i made it a week or so ago and took the pics today.

    Hey Stirlo - nice one! Nice stuff silky oak - at least the wood that I've used is good to work with.
    Crushed chalk/CA - cool idea - must give that a go sometime.

    I agree, cheap & easy, especially on the chisels. I've got heaps of coloured chalk to.

    looking good Stirlo, Silky oak is a one of the best timbers to work with I reckon as well.

    Nice looking bowl, Stirlo. And may I say that you have the best avatar on these pages. I, too, have a Jack Russell terrier, and she is the best little dog I have ever had.

    Nice bowl Stirlo. Good to experiment with colours, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Unfortunately, you don't know which until it's too late.
