    Default standing mirror

Here are some pics of my new mirror... I had some trouble with this timber, Merbough I think??? If there even is such a timber. I posted that problem in the timber forum. But it stands straight and I can see myself in it so it must be a success. ish
edit* i was amazed at the the colour change with danish oil! this was the first time i used it the thried photo is the finished product, it went from a yellow honey color to redish purple? bizarre... maybe not

That's very nice Steve. What equipment did you use, apart from the router?

    Tools... very very basic.
A crosscut hand saw for Ripping!!! I spent a whole day on that... my right bicep is huge now!
    A tenon saw
My #5 plane, a scrapper, and a cordless drill that goes flat every three screws grrr!

Oh and i got a loan of a jigsaw to shape the bottom, and I managed to use a spoke shave the shape of the bottom.

    I think that’s it???
    No I Lie.
I had to borrow my father’s electric router to route the two rebates in the back, one for the mirror and a wider one for the backing board. As I haven’t a rebate plane yet (if that’s what there called) com’on ebay!
