Without hijacking the thread, the problem for me is that I much prefer to limit the amount of 'technology' I own, and the ability to take pics with the thing I also use to call people with has been tremendously handy. For me to actually go and pick another piece of machinery up to take a photo - is well almost too much work!!

More of Studleys timber. These are (aside from being an extraordinarily crappy photo) a kitchen bench a mate made for the SWMBO of another mate. I actually gave the timber to mate 1 some time ago, however sadly he passed away. So mate 2 stepped into the breach and made a couple of kitchen benchtops and a stunning entertainment unit out of some of the timber for the SWMBO. I can hopefully supply some better quality pics down the track
Cheers

There is a lot of timber in a pack.
While restacking there seemed to be a lot of short boards and a lot of defects in the Blackbutt floorboards.
There were a few projects that could use the boards.
Here's the completed ones so far:
Planter box
Slat bed for a van
A big dundun drum - 44 gallon drum size; and
A pair of Adirondac chairs
I might be halfway through one pack!!!!Scally

You guys are friggin' nuts........in a good way. This stuff is REALLY nice!
Especially those rocking chairs, Wongo.
I try making a simple box and it comes out lookin' like hammered-up dog turds,
while you guys are doing stuff like this from whatever's layin' around.
Ahhhh, someday I'll put somethin' together worth lookin' at.
Thanks for the inspiration, guys.

The gift that keeps on giving.
Hey Mike why not sell the box and donate the proceeds to the local Buddhist Temple - probably more cost effective!!There was a young boy called Wyatt

Hey Namtrak that is probably a good idea.
Attached a small box for my secret santa, better than a bottle of plonk or a box of choccies ?

Here is bookcase we made of some of the structural timber. It looks great in situ. We built this for the MiL and she is very happy with it, in a side note the cornice was problematic because the original was the fibrous 90mm cove and the new bit (across the front of the bookcase) was gyprock - and sadly they were two different profiles which meant it took some serious friggin around.
The bookcase was finished with 3 coats of Minmax Wipon poly
PS Photos of another kitchen to follow
PSS Are there any more packs on the way? This has been so fantastic to get this work doneThere was a young boy called Wyatt
