New Tardis letterbox
Always wanted a tardis letterbox so made one last week. The postie even came up the drive to tell me she loved it lol. I originally did a resin cast of the Death Star on the top but noticed Bunnings had cheap solar lights so used one instead and much happier with the way it turned out.

Love it.
Reminds me of a lab I built in the mid-80s. It had false walls for air recirculation so was much smaller on the inside than it looked on the outside. We nicked named it the SIDRAT (tardis in reverse).

The Postie in me has to ask, where does the mail go? Nothing obvious on the outside. Your regular postie will get use to it but a relieving postie may scratch his head trying to figure out where to put the mail and may even ride off without delivering. We posties are simple folk and require ease of access and delivery. To give you an idea of a posties life, I start work at 4am and once the indoor work is done set off on a round that covers 900+ boxes and shops over a 70km ride each day and sometimes don’t finish until after 5pm, big day with little free time to figure out how to get mail into a new box

The top lifts up as it is hinged at the back. She worked it out the first day. Looked around the back, saw the hinges and lifted the lid and dropped the letters in . One awesome thing about it has been the lack of advertising material i used to get bombarded with lol.

Do you get mail before it's been posted and are the wheelie bins beginning to talk in menacing tones.
Great job.

I imagined for a moment that all parcels can be delivered now no matter what size, but then I realised you are still restricted by what will fit on the postie bike.
Growing up in the UK as a child, I think the colour of the police box was a darker blue, but that still looks great. The box really is a beauty. Great job.
