Another piece from Wongo.
Good to see the work in progress.
It is good to see some kids are interested in wood and the difference between them. There should be more involved as this is the future that will look after the resource.

I use a veritas sharpening jig and DMT diamond plates to sharpen my plane blades.

This is how I cut a bevel at the under side of the top. First I carefully cut most of the waste on the tablesaw. Each rip is done on a test piece to get a accurate depth of cut. You don't want to get it wrong. Then I use a router and a planner bit and a jig to finish off. With a clear head and a lot of care I got a very good result. Very happy with it.

When is the big day Wongo,my son and partner expecting an addition in March,another grandson to add to the family.Dont forget the suitcase for the top of the chest so you can put the bairn in when it starts playing up.
