Tasmanian Myrtle TV Table
This is a TV table I completed last week. It is an adaptation of Neil Scobie's Coffee/Storage Table which I made a couple of years ago. It is finished with 4 coats of Minwax Satin Wipe-on Poly and after a couple days rubbed back with EEE Ultra-shine.
I have now received a request from SWMBO to build a lamp table and nest of tables in same timber.DSCF4959.jpgTom

Well, get on with it.
You people have the most beautiful hardwoods to play with.
The finish on the front really showcases the grain.

Grab the opportunity ! By the way, how long did it take you to finish the table?

I estimate that I spent somewhere between 40 to 45 hours on it - I would never make any money if I was doing woodwork for a living.
I actually started it before last Christmas but then other projects (shelf unit and bookcase for grand-daughters) and house renovations caused it to be put aside.Tom

Beautiful clean line's and yes we really do have some fantastic hardwood's and this is a very good example. What's time if it is for yourself when the result is as good as this well done.
Regards Rod.

A beautiful piece. I love Tassie Myrtle.
As soon as I saw it I thought of the Scoie coffee table.... Plans of which I have had sitting around for too long. You've inspired me to get on with the coffee table.
Nathan.
