Step Stool
I made this Step - Stool because I had some Oregon after demolishing my grandson's old bed.
There are some interesting designs for step ladders and I found this one interesting because it converted into a chair.
It's all screwed together and there are a lot of screws. It looks better with plugs made from the off-cuts.
It isn't a particularly comfortable seat but it is good step ladder. Very stable, even when standing on the top step to get boards from the top of the timber rack.Scally

Well done and as always it is better than what you would buy. Although as with many items that we build, you can't buy them from any shop. The completed step stool is much better than a bought one from a shop providing you could buy.

Nice work. I'm inspired to use my pile if recycled Oregon.

I agree Alby123 and this one gives me the height I need.
I found the Oregon good to use johnredl and a nice weight to move around. My boards were variable widths so I had to joint and gue several together to get what I needed. I used a few dominoes to help join the boards.
There were some big cracks resulting from my rough demolition job and I glued them up with wood glue.
It isn't a pretty job with exposed dominoes and glued-up cracks but it looks OK in the shed.
The one in the attachment appeals to me because of the long post. Mine is stable , even standing on the top step.
The long post would help balance on the steps while reaching for things.
It is a classier style step ladder that would look good in a loungeroom.Scally
