deep breath people please
Gumby old mate he was just using his comments so that people didnt see him as a raw beginner in things internet and explained it well enough. Maybe the sell bit could have been left out but his gallery shows he is accomplished in posting digitally.
I have also be known to shoot off a reponse that was called rude much the same as you Niki. and on rereading my post I realised thats how it sounded but it was in a similar vein as yours though for other reasons.

H and fxst,
I took took it the other way. Particularly the line 'any help would be nice'. What does he think he just got !
And then the reply to niki. Not a good way to introduce yourself.
Maybe I'm becoing a little more sensitive but that's only because of some of the posts lately, particularly from people who come in, make a few waves and disappear. Time will tell if I'm wrong or if I'm right. If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

G'day all - Have been testing smaller file sizes for pics for the past day or so. I just had to upgrade to 100Gb server mainly because of the size of pics.
The 100Kb size has been restoren so there is no reason why pics can't be posted again. Be nice to see some of the file sizes come down though.
NGX - Let's see your Noel_woodtur.jpg then.

Neil,
As far as photos go, is it worth introducing additional guidelines? For instance if sizes were recommended at say 600 pixels for the widest dimension, and a "medium" compression, they'd end up in the 30-60kb range.
What is a reasonable size?
Cheers,
P

I think what we are trying to say is in this modern world of moderation the more immoderate have taken it upon themselves to act as self appopinted moderators to ensure immoderate comments don't need moderating by the moderators.
Boring signature time again!
