Today's Project
Having only a small workshop, and tired of getting dust all over various bitz 'n bobz sitting on an open shelved ) ex tatty el-cheapo bookcase (long since retired in place of a home-built bit of tat!), I decided that I'd have a go at making a shop cabinet.
Attached pics are the result of today's work (ok, plus a couple of hours yesterday...)
Not fine furniture, I know, but serviceable for the 'shop, I reckon.
Cheers,
Steve B

Looks like fun.........I was doing the same but it took me all afternoon to do asmall set of drawers while listening to the footy in between a few cappucinos. A good day

Looks lika a good days work. One can't have too many cupboards or drawers in the shop.

I've got one of those Carba-Tec 2nd stage bin-top gizmos between the 2hp DC and a bunch of oddz 'n sodz hanging off the intake port. There's either a blast gate at the bin (one to TS and one to Jointer); the others go to one of two overhead PVC pipes, one of which is as yet unused, but will come into play when I receive the SUVA T/S overhead collection port I've ordered, and the other provides suction (if that's the right term?) to the router table and the B/S.
You should have seen it before the 'octopus' - then there were 100mm pipes lying all over the floor of the shop like a ruddy Medusa. Falling over the things became an art form
At first the bin gizmo didn't work all that well, but since installing some foam between bin and its lid, and attaching the two together with some removeable fasteners, it's just fine.
Cheers!
