    Default Turtle Tank Stand

    Hello All,
Just finished a tank stand for the family turtles.

Myrtle, finished in tung oil using epoxied loose tenon joinery with veneered panels. Particularly pleased with the hand planed bevels it was a good excuse to get a LV block, LV planes are fantastic.

There is provision for a drawer should the turtles need one and the maker feels inclined.

may as well start building a big stand now though, normally within a year they need a 4 foot tank

Mmm... yes they have doubled in size already. Think I'll be looking for a new home for them soon or maybe they might run away daughter moi
Anyways no chance of a 4 footer, I like turtles but not that much
