    Default TV Corner Unit

    Hi,
I am a boilermaker by trade but wood work is my thing now. Only new to the game & this tv unit is my first furniture piece. It took me a little over 12 months from go to woe, but on the upside, I can only get better. any way, I hope you like it, because my wife says its the wrong colour. One of them may have to go.

    Welcome to the Forum.

For the first furniture piece that is great. I think the color looks fine. Looks like you have room for a bigger TV too. SWMBO can allways be replaced, and thay come in different colors too

Hi Harry, SWMBO's hey? & I thought that rule only applied to me. The color is a finely blended formular of about 8 different stains, in about 20 different combinations on about 30 different test pieces & about 4 coats. It is sanded to 1500 grit & finished with fine buffing oil. I was trying to match a peice we bought between the time I started it & the time I finished it. Should not have taken so long, then it would have been SWMBO's problem to colour match.

The problem I have now is the minister of finance has put in an order for a matching book case. I told her that making it is no problem, it's just the colouring in i'm concerned about.

Pt Pirie I noticed. I have a brother that lives out the back of broughton on the mundura road.

    Thanks Harry

    G'day Terry,

Yeh mate, I made room for a bigger tv. The one in there is a 66cm, that would be about 26 of those old fashion inches you guys use over there in your part of the world.

I have had a chat to the minister of finance & told her that while there is only one colour (or color for you blokes) that was mis matched, there are four door knobs that match perfectly. that means it is an 80% perfect match. Close enough to be a keeper.

    Steve
