    Default Twin Bed

Just finished this bed for my son. Its actually the second one I've made. When my boys are old enough I can turn them into bunk beds.

    Hi 9Fingers,

Nice workman like job mate; looks got.

Just a small Q: the slats - they seem to be of a transparent type of timber. I'm not sure that I've seen that species before

Its carefully seclected poplar with wipe on poly. Each bed has 48 mortise and tenon joints. Thats how I broke in my new Delta mortise machine.

Nice work, 9 Fingers. How did you fare in your quest for different wood sources?

That bed looks great. Just wondering when you make them into bunks (the beds not the boys lol) will you put a foot and a head together, and vice versa up the other end, with the head being taller than the foot. Hope you understand this, as i know what i am talking about. lol
I am a beginner and looking to make a set of bunks that can be singles, and i like your design.
